The Summer Studio — Terms of Service
These terms apply to all orders placed with The Summer Studio, a sole trader business operated by Hannah Walden ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order you agree to these terms.
Our Products
All products are hand-painted to order and personalised to your specifications. As each piece is created individually, no two items are identical. Colours may vary slightly from photographs shown on the website due to the nature of hand-painted work and differences in screen display.
Orders and Payment
Full payment is required at the time of ordering for standard products. For wedding packages, a non-refundable £50 deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due three months before your wedding date.
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
Personalisation
It is your responsibility to ensure all personalisation details submitted with your order — including names, dates, spellings, and colour preferences — are accurate. We will create your products based on the information provided. We cannot accept responsibility for errors resulting from incorrect information supplied by you.
Processing Times
All items are hand-painted to order. Current processing time is 1–2 weeks from order confirmation before dispatch. During busy periods such as peak wedding season, processing times may be slightly longer. We will always communicate any delays promptly.
Shipping
We ship all orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48 to addresses within the United Kingdom. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on order value. As our products are made from glass, we take every care in packaging, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage caused during transit once the order has been dispatched. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will do our best to find a resolution.
Collection from the Caerphilly area in South Wales is available by arrangement.
Returns and Cancellations
As all products are personalised and made to order, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds except in the case of a fault on our part. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which excludes personalised goods from the standard 14-day return right.
If you have a concern about your order, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will work with you to find a fair resolution.
Wedding package deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel a wedding order, please contact us as soon as possible. Any balance payments already made may be partially refunded at our discretion depending on how far into the production process your order is.

All designs, photographs, and content on this website are the property of The Summer Studio and may not be reproduced without written permission.
